Hempel Silic One Fouling Release system is a high solid fouling release system that is biocide-free and based on silicon and hydrogel components. It acts as a fouling release system for boats made of fibreglass, steel and aluminium.

Specifically designed to be used below the waterline, Hempel Silic One si suitable for both cold and warm water.

The finish will give you a smooth even surface which makes it difficult for the marine organisms to attach to the hull and facilitates the self-cleaning process when the boat is in motion.

How does Silic One Fouling Release Work?

Unlike antifouling, Silic One Fouling Release System does not rely on biocides. This is based on silicone and hydrogel which gives the coating surface (i.e. the hull of your boat - not suitable for wood hulls) waterlike properties, making it difficult for fouling organisms to attach to the hull for long periods of time and easy to remove when the boat is in motion.

This fouling release system is suitable for all types of boats except for wooden boats.

The frequency of use and speed can influence the amount of fouling. Best performance to be expected on motorboats.
